Dr. Ihekweaba is the medical director and principal specialist of Hopeville Eye Clinic Limited. She is a primary care consultant optometrist. She holds a Doctor of Optometry degree from the University of Benin. She is a Primary Care Optometrist and has been in practice for over 20 years. She has worked in many Medical settings within and outside Nigeria. She is a specialty trained, board-certified independent care practitioner dedicated to excellence in her field of specialty and has continued to expand her expertise and professional development in her practice of Optometry. She is a very active member of the Nigerian Optometric Association, Women Optometrists in Nigeria, and a Fellow of the Nigerian Post Graduate College of Optometry. She is the current Vice President of the Guild of Optometric Directors of Nigeria, Rivers State chapter. She has served and chaired many committees including World Glaucoma Week and World Optometry Week, 2025 Dr. Ihekweaba is committed to providing world-class eye and vision care services to all her patients. She is compassionate, approachable and very knowledgeable in personalised patient care. She is relentless in her pursuit of excellence in quality education and Public service delivery hence her up-to-date attendance of both national and international conferences and workshops for increased knowledge and continuing education. She strongly believes in evidence based practice and has a flair for Clinical Nutrition, Therapeutic Optometry and Preventive Health Care Advocacy. Her nutritional coaching has seen great success as her patients continue to enjoy very fantastic outcomes. Her love and respect for her patients and her attention to detail is what endears them to her and keeps them coming back. She has enjoyed several successful outcomes for patients and very many repeat referrals. She is Christian, Married and has many children.
